Description
Npc concept for my comic project.
---
Details about the story:
Servants of the goddess Sol (of sun, of course) are adopted as newborns, and raised by the prietresses of the temple. They are exclusively female - as Sol is - and are to stay pure unless they leave the temple (usually by a wedding with some noblesman, the only other way of leaving being... Well, it implies a ceremony, a golden knife and much blood.).
The hair, in the world the comic takes place in, has much signification: on the day of your wedding, the husband and the wife will take a strand of each other hair, and braid it. This strand of hair will have to be conserved, never cut, and braided as long as the mariage will go on. Cutting it is asking for a divorce, with about the same meaning as telling someone out of the blue "hey, the divorce papers are on the table, send them to me when you are done with them, I'm moving out".
The servants hair are never cut. Hence the long, long braid.

I love the idea of creating fictional cultures.
